Return Fire

Yes, much like the swords, I just can't stop at just one batch.  So here we go, firing off another round of guns, and yes, I am aware that that was an awful pun.  I sincerely apologize.  But anyway, enjoy this collection after the jump.  There is absolutely more to come later.

Fire Power

Here it is, finally drawings that aren't swords.  This time it's guns.  I know it's still weapons but weapon design is just something that comes naturally to me.  Also, slightly different from the Off-the-Cuff sword collections, these drawings are coming to you in full color, which is always fun.  I will continue working on these as well as more swords and posting the results so stay tuned.  More after the jump.

Halloween Funtimes

So, me and my friends are all huge nerds.  One of our more recent obsessions has been the film "Pacific Rim" and so a bunch of us decided that this year we were going to dress up as characters from the movie, however we added a twist.  Given my friend Ethan's and my visually creative disposition, instead of simply copying an existing character group, we invented our own.  For those not familiar with the movie, one of the primary elements of the universe is the existence of these giant fighting robots called Jaegers which are piloted by 2 people who share a unique ability to link minds and think as a singular unit.  Ethan and I played the parts of the pilots while my girlfriend, Jill, took on the role of our jaeger, which we named Archimedes Tangent.  Anyway, just for fun, here are our final costumes as well as the sketches of Archimedes Tangent as we imagined it after the jump.

From left to right, Ethan, Jill, and myself.

Off the Cuff: Swords Vol. IV

I really hope you're not tired of swords by now.  If not, great news, I have a new batch to put on display and several more ideas in the works for future designs.  However, those of you who cant bear to see another sword, great news, I've been working on a new set of drawings that will hopefully be making their appearance on here in the not too distant future.  Something fun I noticed while I was leafing through my sketches is to see how the designs of the swords I draw have evolved over time.  Check out volume 1 of swords and this volume and you'll see what I'm talking about.  And as always, feel free to leave a comment about any of my work.  Any feedback is good feedback.  So, here's the sample sword of this group, more after the jump.

Off the Cuff: Swords Vol. III

Took some time but it's finally here.  More swords!  Not much to say about it, I'm sure you know how this works, so let's get right to it.  Check out the rest after the jump.  Enjoy.

Fun fact: Hydrangea (seen above) is the sister sword of Amaryllis (from previous post).

Off the Cuff: Swords Vol. II

So it turns out I have a ton of sword designs.  Thus, I'm bringing out volume 2 of my swords for everyone's viewing pleasure.  Not much else to say about it, really, so let's get right to it.  Check out after the jump for more.

Off the Cuff: Swords Vol. I

As far as design goes, I love weapons.  Those who have seen my earlier posts will probably have noticed a fair few designs for guns.  However, when it comes to spur-of-the-moment flashes of inspiration, swords and blades are my speciality.  So I present volume 1 of my catalogue of swords.  More after the jump.
Some of the names are completely made up words.

Off the Cuff

As someone with a bit of an imagination, I like to get ideas down onto paper whenever I can.  I do carry a sketchbook and pencils with me but also my iPad and stylus.  As a result I end up with a lot of random doodles and quick sketches, some of which turned out pretty well.  At least, I think so.  Seeing as my library of these is constantly expanding, I'll most likely post volumes of off the cuff stuff as they mount up.  Check out more after the jump.

I like to do... other forms of art as well

Hot on the heels of my drawing post, I've got just what everyone wants to see: tons more images.  This next batch will be basically everything I picked out to show that wasn't a pencil drawing.  There's some sculpture, some photoshop, paper cutouts, cool stuff.  Assuming these kinds of posts are well received, I will continue to put up other random bits of art I do.  Constructive criticism is always welcome too.  Check out more after the jump.

I like to do drawings

It's been a while since my last update and I figured, animations are only a small portion of my artwork so I'm gonna use this space to share other pieces I have.  Just to give myself a limitation between posts, this first one will just be a selection of pencil and paper drawings I've done over the past few years.  I don't want to make this too spammy with images.  But anyhow, I hope you enjoy.  Check out more after the jump.
